Emergency Response Vehicle Needed in the Golan

Forty minutes. That's how long it can take for an ambulance to arrive.

For 5,124 Jewish men, women, and children living in 12 villages atop Israel's Golan Heights, an emergency can mean a 40-minute wait for an ambulance. In a region that has endured relentless rocket and drone attacks since October 7th, those minutes matter.

My dear Israeli friends, Elran and Margalit, reached out to me about this urgent need. They introduced me to Shlomo, a volunteer first responder, who serves these communities using his old, unreliable car. It sometimes gets stuck, and isn't even large enough to carry a stretcher.

They desperately need an emergency response vehicle. We have an opportunity to provide one.

The goal is to raise $100,000 to purchase, equip, and convert a 4x4 vehicle into a lifesaving mobile emergency response unit. We have already raised $10,000. Another $90,000 is still needed.

But this is about something far greater than an ambulance.

I keep asking the Lord how we, as followers of Jesus, can bear witness among the Jewish people in tangible ways. How do we demonstrate His faithfulness and compassion in a way that reaches beyond our words?

We show up. We meet their needs. We love them in ways they can see and touch.

I believe this is one of those opportunities.

Imagine 5,124 Jewish souls knowing that followers of Jesus, thousands of miles away, cared enough to make sure help could reach their children, their parents, and their neighbors quickly during crisis or disaster. That these Christians provided a lifesaving emergency vehicle simply because they loved the Jewish people and want to stand with them in their time of need.

I board a plane to Israel on November 6th for my seventh trip since October 7th, and the goal is to have the remaining $90,000 raised before I leave. I will work alongside Elran, Margalit, and Shlomo to purchase, equip and oversee the conversion of the 4x4 vehicle to an EMS vehicle while there.

But we cannot do it without your help.
